As a key member of the Hotel Reporting & Insight team we see this role as crucial in the success of supporting our Amer region Finance Business Partners. Delivering key reports and insightful takes, working hand in hand with the team to support in both the Franchise and Managed estate. Everything we do must be worthwhile, timely and accurate and in support of the business.
Your day to day
Regular Reporting & Insight
• Ensuring that all tasks detailed in your objectives are delivered on time.
• Being pro-active around the reports. Markets and business can change so quickly that we must stay ahead of the game and if a report is of no longer use it is discarded and replaced with something valuable to the business.
• Our aim is that we spend time adding insights rather than building reports by utilizing the RPA process and OAC.
• Building your skillset to deliver OAC reports will be a priority.
Ad Hoc Requests
• Your Financial Business Partners will request certain reports based on a particular area of focus. The aim is that we support them as these will be urgent requests. We can only do this by making sure we have good control of the regular activities.
• Speed is very important in thus role, if something is asked it must be delivered fast.
Team Support
• Working with the UK team closely for guidance and support. This will be helped by regular communication by attending weekly meetings, participating in the extended monthly meeting, and contributing to our MS “Teams” page.
• Working with the India team to support them and to be able to ask for support during periods of leave. Again, attending shared meetings will help in this regard.
• Working with the Amer team to feel part of their team by building relationships and joining team meetings
What we need from you
Whilst we love experience, mindset is of equal importance. We’re looking for someone who is committed with a natural ability to operate effectively in a fast moving, global environment.
- Finance or business-related education. Preferably working towards professional finance qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
- Preferably, experience as a finance analyst, incl. experience with operational planning, budgeting and forecasting processes, management reporting, scenario analysis and modelling skills, with preference for leisure and hospitality or similar single unit, multi-revenue stream operations.
- Understanding of trading metrics and key drivers which impact operations revenue and cost.
- Advanced user of Oracle, Essbase, reporting tools, Excel, PowerPoint.
- Ability to prioritise and to operate effectively in a fast moving, global environment with tight deadlines.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Strong oral and written communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
- Critical thinking and ability to connect and explain linkage between drivers and outputs.
- Preferably, exposure to the culture and ways of working in the supported region(s).
