As Reservation Supervisor you are responsible for taking reservations by phone also responsible for the organization and quality of the room sales service by maximizing the occupancy rate and the average rate per room and optimize the occupancy of the hotel and the Rooms Division turnover and the average rate per room.

 

A little taste of your day-to-day.

 

  • Processes reservations by mail, telephone, telex, cable, fax or central reservation systems referral
  • Processes reservations from the sales office, other hotel departments, and travel agents
  • Knows the selling status, rates, and benefits of all packages plans
  • Knows the credit policy of the hotel and how to code each reservation
  • Creates and maintains reservation records by date of arrival and alphabetical listing
  • Prepares letters of confirmation
  • Processes cancellations and modifications and promptly relays this information to the front desk
  • Understands the hotel's policy on guaranteed reservations and no-shows
  • Processes advance deposits on reservations
  • Prepares expected arrival list for front office use
  • Handles daily correspondence. Responds to inquiries and makes reservations as needed
  • Promotes goodwill by beings courteous, friendly, and helpful to guests, mangers, and fellow employees
  • Walk around with the client and ensuring that they secure whatever services they need
  • Getting information about areas of interest in order to target more clients in particular seasons
  • To be aware of all front office procedures and assist with reception duties when required
  • Forward the workload forecasts to all departments for average rate per room and turnover
  • Ensure adequate handling of repetitive guests and VIP guests
  • Coordinate group/event requests in cooperation with the event manager
  • Responsible for the smooth communication between the Reservations department and all other departments 
  • Wears uniform with pride and honor 
  • Any other duties as assigned by the management 

 

What We need from you:

● Excellent communication and strong interpersonal skills 

● Diploma in Hospitality Management or any related equivalent certification

● 2+ years total experience in reservation department at any hotel properties

● Must be fluent in Written and Spoken English 

● Must speak local language(s)
