As Head Concierge, I will fully comprehend the vision of Six Senses to help people reconnect with themselves, others and the world around them and our values of local sensitivity and global sensibility, crafted experiences, emotional hospitality, responsible and caring, fun and quirky and pioneering wellness.
Sustainability, Wellness and Out of the Ordinary experiences are at the core of everything we do at Six Senses. I will safeguard these pillars and its strategic planning and development and ensure all directives, practices and initiatives are implemented, embraced, adopted within the hotel.
Duties and Responsibilities
As Head Concierge, I will assume full responsibility for the efficient operation of the Concierge department to provide exceptional products and services within brand operating standards.
The duties and responsibilities will include:
• Responsible for responding to a wide variety of guest requests by accurately assessing the guest needs and requests and then adding personal recommendations and touches to achieve maximum guest satisfaction while complying with hotel standards and policies.
• Process and handle all guest requests in regards to packages, messages and mail.
• Assist guests in all inquiries in connection with hotel services, hours of operations, key hotel personnel, in-house events, directions, etc.
• Maintain detailed knowledge of all events and venues in London and are able to personally recommend relevant and appropriate experiences to guests. Have good working relationships with external agents, brokers and venues directly to ensure a high level of service is offered to guests.
• Upkeep Six Senses guidelines and standards of service and operation. My performance benchmarks are maintained and exceeded.
• Focus and review regularly through my physical presence in all areas of property, our rigorous adherence to LQA standards.
• Ensure that interaction and communications between departments within the property are clear and effectively maintained to support the smooth running of the property.
• Ensure that all set policies, procedures, best practices are in place and rigorously enforced.
• Instil a cost-focused philosophy through training and education.
• Operate the property consistent with all legal, statutory and financial requirements and documentation, reporting systems, contractual obligations, security and safety protocols, communications, product and service standards, host management practices and budgetary controls are implemented, reviewed and maintained to ensure the successful operation of the hotel.
Qualifications
To execute the position of Head Concierge, I must have the required qualifications, technical skills and experience in a similar role in luxury hotels with proven results and includes the following:
• Possess a Bachelor’s degree in Hotel Management, Business Administration or related field plus two-four years concierge experience including supervisory experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Technical skills include MS Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. I am also familiar with various hotel systems including POS, PMS and CRM platforms. I have excellent knowledge of guest related functions, guest service and local surrounding areas.
• Fluent in English; I understand that additional languages are preferred.
