About Us
POSITION SUMMARY: The Sales Coordinator will play a key role in supporting the hotel’s sales department by assisting with the coordination and execution of sales initiatives, events, and client relationships. This role is vital to ensuring the efficient operation of the sales team and contributing to the overall success of the hotel and restaurant’s revenue generation efforts.
Your day to day
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for collaborating with guests to plan and coordinate private events and banquets.
- Exercise flexibility in guest interaction to secure business.
- Assist with increasing room revenue through prospecting via weekly phone calls, digital platforms, outside sales calls, and onsite tours and luncheons.
- Detail leads from the Director of Sales, update information on catering contracts and route the information to all relevant departments.
- Research, review and respond timely on all lead generating platforms.
- Collaborate with Guest Service Manager on guest room blocks to maximize hotel occupancy.
- Responsible for managing group bookings, coordinating meeting and event logistics, while ensuring smooth communication between sales, operations, and clients.
- Maintain accurate records, prepare reports and event billing, and assist with responding to inquiries, ensuring all guest and client needs are met promptly and professionally.
- Attend local industry meetings, events and other marketing efforts.
- Work closely with hotel and restaurant teams to ensure exceptional event outcomes by attending weekly function meetings.
- Along with Banquet Manager and/or Director of Sales, may greet the meeting planner before the start of the function and ensure that everything is to their satisfaction and all function questions are addressed.
- May provide assistance to other departments when necessary to contribute to the smooth operation of the hotel and restaurant.
