Crowne Plaza Canberra is looking for a Full-time Maintenance Supervisor. As a Maintenance Supervisor, you will ensure all aspects of hotel maintenance and management are kept to the very best standards and in line with all relevant health and safety legislation and procedures.  

 A little taste of your day to day 

  • Manage everyday activities, plan and assign work ensuring you always have the right staffing numbers 
  • Assist in developing our team and improve their performance through coaching and feedback and create performance and develop goals for colleagues  
  • Complete work orders as requested by the Chief Engineer and other directives to meet guest requirement 
  • Carry out of a preventative maintenance program to ensure hotel is maintained and in service for guest 
  • Ensure a safe and secure environment for guests, team members and hotel assets in compliance with policies and procedures and regularity requirements 
  • Assist Chief Engineer in preparing the departmental budget and financial plans and operational plans for the hotel 
  • Maintain a good working relation with outside contacts 
  • Maintain a focus and commitment to operating a “green hotel” 

 

What We need from you:  

  • Advanced vocational training plus two years of experience in general building maintenance or construction, or equivalent combination of education and experience.  
  • Hotel experience preferred 
  • Excellent personal grooming and hygiene standards 
  • Flexibility – working evenings, weekends and public holidays are all part of the job 
  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail.  
  • You must have working rights in Australia
