We're looking for passionate, high-spirted individuals to join the pre-opening team at Kimpton Riyadh, the very first Kimpton hotel in Saudi Arabia. About Kimpton Riyadh
Located in King Abdullah Financial District which is set in the heart of the Saudi capital, 22-kilometers away from the airport, Kimpton Riyadh is the first Kimpton in Saudi Arabia bringing the brand’s playful energy, infectious personality, and unique design style to this LEED certified landmark development home to 1.6 million square meters of state-of-the-art office space, world-class venues and iconic luxury residences. The hotel welcome guests to experience its 212 guest rooms and suites and to enjoy its unique dining options.
Your day to day
- Fine Dining Experience: Proven experience in high-class restaurants, preferably at the European or international level.
- Michelin-Starred Restaurant Experience: At least one experience in a Michelin-starred restaurant or in establishments with high gastronomic standards.
- Kitchen Brigade Management: Ability to manage and coordinate high-level kitchen teams, focusing on quality and efficiency.
- Advanced Culinary Techniques Knowledge: Mastery of advanced cooking techniques, including complex and innovative dishes.
- Menu Creation and Management: Experience in creating innovative menus and managing their evolution, while maintaining a high level of consistency with the restaurant's
standards.
- Quality and Service Excellence Orientation: Attitude towards excellence, with particular attention to the quality of dishes and service.
- Resource and Budget Management: Ability to manage resources, costs, and inventory, optimizing resources and reducing food waste.
- Adaptability in Dynamic Environments: Flexibility and ability to adapt to a high-pressure kitchen environment.
- Leadership and Communication: Skills in personnel management, team motivation, and effective communication within the brigade.
- Passion for Innovation: A mindset oriented towards culinary creativity and the pursuit of new techniques and gastronomic trends.
We believe every plate tells a story. So, we’re searching for a Chef de Cuisine with a palate for serving up truly memorable dishes. Whenever and wherever our guests choose to dine. Behind the scenes, you’ll ensure quality, maintain high standards and keep the kitchen running smoothly.
What we need from you
Ideally, you'll have some or all of the following competencies and experience we're looking for:
• Higher education qualification or equivalent in culinary field.
• Two to Three years’ prior tenure in a similar role
• International luxury hotel chain background or free standing restaurant of note
• GCC experience is required
• Pre-opening experience is preferred
• English fluency is required
• Arabic fluency is preferred
