This is an exciting opportunity for an energetic and strategic business development professional to be involved in the narrative of luxury accommodation in New Zealand’s capital city. 

Your day to day

As Business Development Manager your role is to manage and drive key sales activities in line with our annual sales and marketing plan to achieve and exceed budgeted corporate segment revenues. Key responsibilities include:  

• Total account management to ensure existing clientele are maintained and grown 
• Continuously work to acquire new business to strengthen our present market share positioning 
• Be an ambassador for our luxury brand experience  
• Proactively manage key relationships with GM, Revenue and Sales team, and other IHG hotels to ensure alignment across the region 
• Supports Director of Sales & Marketing in creating segment action plans and sales targets 

What we need from you

• Three years' + experience in sales/business development 
• Possess a creative flair balanced with an analytical mind  
• The ability to identify opportunities to increase revenue  
• Excellent project management skills  
• The ability to work independently and have a proactive approach 
• Strong verbal, written and presentation skills in English  
• A strong drive for results and a track record of achievement
