Main tasks
We are offering an internship in group meetings and events. During your internship you will be a part of a dedicated and motivated team with a passion for hospitality you will have many responsibilities and tasks such as:
- Learning IHG meetings and events systems;
- Focus on event bookings such as groups, meetings, dinners, and many more;
- Administration tasks like booking reservations for events, input rooming lists, maintaining own bookings, contracting face and billing procedure;
- Being creative in gaining new business;
- Conduct weekly audits of group blocks and prepare weekly wash meetings.
Managerial responsibilities
- During a nine or ten-month internship, you will have a combined sales and planning internship. With a combined internship you will be able to handle an event from enquiry to the full planning of the events and the final payment.
Skills & Qualifications
You are passionate about hospitality. You have a representative appearance and flexible attitude with a commercial focus! You enjoy a challenge, have a work hard/play hard together attitude and can handle high work pressure. Besides this, you enjoy building relationships with colleagues and customers to achieve maximum results.
- Fluent in English and or Dutch;
- Minimum of 6 months;
- Hospitality Management at Bachelor level/MBO
- Starting from January/September
