Our guests’ memorable experiences must start somewhere. So why not with you? We’re looking for a new Stewarding Supervisor. In this position, you will supervise the Stewarding Team and the overall daily management of the department.
A little taste of your day-to-day:
- Ensures all cleanliness standards meet established guidelines in all F&B Kitchens, Outlet areas and Bars.
- Ensure costs for Chemicals and cleaning supplies are within budgeted expectations.
- Lead established quality assurance procedures to ensure acceptable health department and customer service standards in stewarding department.
- Maintains strict confidentiality in all departmental and company matters.
- Responsible for staff development and training programs.
- Ensures daily participation during BEO meetings.
- Ensures Colleagues is communicated with any updates and changes after BEO for planning purposes.
- Ensures Weekly participation during REO meetings for all restaurant planned events.
- Manages work procedures and expedites workflow.
- Communicate daily with restaurant and banquet Chefs and Managers to exchange information on current and upcoming activities.
- Participate in meetings with the management team to discuss operational improvements and strategies.
What we need from you:
- At least 1 year of Stewarding leadership operations in a large box and high-volume hotel.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations and sanitation standards.
- Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities and work schedules as needed.
- Exposure to hot, wet, and humid conditions as well as cleaning chemicals and equipment.
- Ability to sit and/or stand for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds occasionally.
- Flexibility to reach, bend and stoop.
- Flexible to work all shifts including holidays, nights, weekends, and overtime as business dictate.
- Effective management, leadership, organizational and communication skills.
- Thorough knowledge of food and beverage planning and production procedures.
- Bi-lingual in English and Spanish preferred.
- Must be able to give directions to all stewarding staff.
