Prep - Cook

Our guests’ memorable experiences must start somewhere. So why not with you? We’re looking for Part time and Full time Prep Cooks to prepare cold food items and assist in all kitchen activities to ensure that guests receive high quality food items in a timely manner.
A little taste of your day-to-day:
•    Advise supervisor of low inventory items and problems related to equipment, food quality, portions, etc.
•    Perform receiving and inventory duties as specified by supervisor; stocks supply as requested.
•    Maintain a clean kitchen by cleaning all work surfaces used in food preparation on an ongoing basis.
•    Monitor production and quality levels of all food products; incoming food product to ensure quality; refrigeration and dry storage for proper handling and rotation. 
•    Checking daily production sheets and checks with Chef daily.
•    Maintain a clean, neat, and well-organized work area, including but not limited to reach-ins, walk-ins and counters. Report all unsafe or malfunctioning equipment to supervisor.
•    May assist with other duties as needed.
What We need from you:
Basic reading, writing and math skills and some prior food preparation experience preferred.

What you can expect from us:
The hourly pay range for this role is $19.97 to $22.19 an hour. This range is only applicable for jobs to be performed at InterContinental San Diego. This is the lowest to highest pay scale we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee’s pay position within the pay range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, and business or organizational needs.

The amount and availability of any bonus, commission, or any other form of compensation that are allocable to a particular employee remains in the Company's sole discretion unless and until paid and may be modified at the Company’s sole discretion, consistent with the law.
