Your day to day

As part of our Front Office team, you will play an important role in delivering a seamless and personalised guest experience from the very first point of contact. As an Instant Service Agent, you will be responsible for managing guest reservations, room allocations, guest communications, and a range of operational processes that ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the hotel. This is a fast-paced role with a strong focus on attention to detail, problem-solving, and delivering exceptional service at every stage of the guest journey.

The day-to-day role includes handling reservations across multiple channels, responding to guest enquiries and special requests, maintaining accurate guest profiles and booking information, and supporting room allocations for individual travellers, VIPs, group bookings, and loyalty members. You will work closely with Front Office, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, and other departments to ensure guest preferences are actioned, room readiness is prioritised, and all operational details are communicated effectively. You will also assist with billing, payment follow-up, reconciliation tasks, group reservations, and daily operational handovers, helping to ensure all systems and guest requests are managed accurately and efficiently.

What we need from you

  • A passion for delivering exceptional guest service and creating memorable guest experiences
  • Previous experience in reservations, front office, guest services, or a similar hotel role is preferred
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a warm and professional approach
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills with a proactive, solutions-focused mindset
  • Experience with Opera or similar hotel systems is preferred
  • Confidence managing guest enquiries, bookings, room allocations, and operational communications
  • Ability to work collaboratively with multiple departments and support the wider hotel operation
  • Flexibility to work across a rotating roster in line with operational requirements
  • You must meet the legal requirements to live and work in Australia
