Your day to day

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:

·     Surface Preparation:

-   Clean, sand, and prepare surfaces for painting by removing old paint, filling holes, and fixing cracks.

-   Apply primers and sealers to prepare surfaces for the finishing coat.

·     Painting:

-   Select appropriate paint, stain, or other finishes according to hotel standards and specific job requirements.

-   Apply paint, varnish, and other finishes to walls, ceilings, and other surfaces using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment.

-   Mix and match paints and finishes to achieve the desired color and texture.

·     Maintenance and Repair:

-   Perform touch-up painting and repair work as needed.

-   Inspect painted surfaces for flaws and take corrective action when necessary.

-   Maintain and clean painting tools and equipment.

·     Safety and Compliance:

-   Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.

-   Comply with local regulations and hotel policies regarding the use and disposal of paints and chemicals.

-   Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.

·     Collaboration:

-   Work closely with other members of the engineering team and other departments to coordinate work and minimize disruption to hotel operations.

-   Assist with other maintenance and repair tasks as needed.

·     Documentation:

-   Maintain accurate records of work performed, including materials used and time spent on tasks.

-   Report any issues or concerns to the Chief Engineer or Engineering Supervisor promptly.

·     Customer Service:

-   Interact professionally and courteously with hotel guests and staff.

-   Respond promptly to guest requests and complaints related to painting work.

What we need from you

PERSON SPECIFICATIONS:

-          Must be able to lift and carry heavy materials and equipment.

-          Must be able to work in various environmental conditions, including outdoors and at heights.

-          Must have the physical stamina and dexterity required for lifting, bending, and working in various conditions.

-          Proficient in painting techniques, including brushing, rolling, and spraying.

-          Ability to mix and match paints and finishes accurately.
