Role Purpose
Responsible for assisting the GMID Manager/Senior Manager by providing accurate and timely management information to Global Finance Corporate teams, Regional and Hotel users, including Hotel Operations and Finance COE.
Key Accountabilities
1.Collect data from source systems and ensure data is loaded into the correct Essbase application and that the data validates back to the source. Applications include those used for IHG and Hotel Mgmt reporting of actuals, budgets, forecast as well as those used for other analytical needs.
2.Responsible outline changes and coordination of those changes with Finance COE, along with SOX sign-off.
3.Handling month-end process as well as franchise reporting including prior period data changes and communication to the business.
4.End to end delivery of any assigned reporting application.
5.SME for month end processes and assigned reporting applications.
6.Train/coach less experienced team members of GMID team.
7.Supporting the GMID Manager in other regions APAC/EMEA on outline, WD+6 validation, query handling, and other generic areas.
8.Responsible for global passback adjustments in Essbase.
9.Assist in the year end application rollover process and on other global projects as required.
Key Skills & Experiences
Education
•Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or international equivalent
Experience
•5+ years’ experience in a management accounting or reporting position, preferably including hotel reporting and forecasting
Technical Skills and Knowledge
•Strong analytical and systems skills.
•Strong communication skills both verbal and written
•Ability to work to tight deadlines
•Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
•Oracle Essbase SmartView experience & understanding of Oracle Essbase Calc Scripts
•Oracle Analytics Cloud (OAC) report/analytics use for process improvements
•Understanding of data movement using ETL and analytical systems
Understanding of PeopleSoft or other ERP systems
