Your day to day

As part of our Engineering Team, you will play an important role in ensuring our hotel remains safe, functional, and maintained to the highest standards. Working behind the scenes, you will help create exceptional guest experiences by ensuring all hotel facilities, equipment, and guest rooms are operating efficiently and presented to luxury hotel standards.

The day-to-day role includes carrying out general maintenance tasks such as painting, carpentry, plumbing, electrical repairs, and basic air-conditioning maintenance. You will respond to guest and colleague maintenance requests, perform preventative maintenance checks, troubleshoot equipment issues, and assist with the setup and movement of furniture and equipment when required. Working closely with Housekeeping, Front Office, and other departments, you will ensure maintenance concerns are resolved promptly and professionally while adhering to all hotel health and safety standards.

What we need from you

• A passion for delivering exceptional service and contributing to memorable guest experiences
• Previous experience in a maintenance, handyperson, engineering, or similar role
• Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and general building maintenance
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards
• Physical ability to perform manual tasks, including lifting, standing, and working in various environments
• Previous experience in a luxury hotel environment is desirable but not essential
• Ability to work flexibly across operational requirements
• You must meet the legal requirements to live and work in Australia
