Job Scope

As a Housekeeping Rooms Supervisor, you will play a vital role in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, presentation, and guest satisfaction throughout the hotel. Reporting directly to the Housekeeping Manager (or their delegate), you will supervise room attendants, inspect guest rooms and public areas, and ensure compliance with IHG brand standards and hotel procedures.

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of Room Attendants and Housekeeping team members.
  • Inspect guest rooms, corridors, pantries, and assigned areas to ensure cleanliness, maintenance, and presentation standards are consistently achieved.
  • Monitor room status and coordinate closely with Front Office and Engineering to ensure timely room availability and maintenance follow-up.
  • Ensure all guest requests and housekeeping-related concerns are handled promptly and professionally.
  • Train, coach, and support team members to maintain high levels of performance and service excellence.
  • Conduct daily briefings and communicate operational priorities to the housekeeping team.
  • Monitor productivity, attendance, grooming, and compliance with hotel policies and procedures.
  • Report maintenance defects, safety hazards, and equipment issues to the relevant departments and follow up until completion.
  • Maintain proper stock levels of linen, guest supplies, and cleaning materials within assigned areas.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, hygiene, and environmental standards at all times.
  • Support special projects, deep cleaning programs, and hotel initiatives as assigned.
  • Promote a culture of teamwork, accountability, and exceptional guest service.

 

What we need from you

  • Minimum 2–3 years of housekeeping experience in a 4 or 5-star hotel, including at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
  • Strong knowledge of housekeeping operations, cleaning procedures, and hotel quality standards.
  • Excellent attention to detail with a passion for cleanliness and guest satisfaction.
  • Good leadership, coaching, and team management skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, solve problems, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good communication skills in English; Arabic is an advantage.
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with hotel systems are preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • A positive attitude, professional appearance, and commitment to service excellence.
