Set in the iconic Adelaide Central Markets, our boutique hotel features 145 stylish guest rooms, the lively Market & Meander restaurant, and the rooftop Merrymaker bar, offering panoramic city views. As the first Hotel Indigo in Australia, we set the trend for local dining, creative cocktails, and immersive guest experiences.

We’re looking for a dynamic, results-driven Business Development Manager to join our team and drive revenue growth. Reporting to the Director of Sales & Marketing, you’ll identify and secure new business opportunities, build strong client relationships, and develop strategic sales initiatives. This role is perfect for a motivated professional with a “hunter” mindset, eager to thrive in a fast-paced environment and make a lasting impact.  A little taste of your day-to-day :

  • Actively seek out and secure new business opportunities to grow the client portfolio across leisure, airlines, and corporate segments.
  • Build and nurture long-term strategic relationships with key accounts and clients, driving repeat business and valuable referrals.
  • Conduct thorough market research to identify and capitalize on untapped opportunities.
  • Monitor competitor practices and industry trends to ensure the hotel’s offerings remain competitive and cutting-edge.
  • Work closely with hotel operations and other key stakeholders to ensure seamless execution of client requirements and events.
  • Host compelling site inspections and familiarisation visits, effectively showcasing the unique aspects of the property to potential clients.
  • Actively participate in National Sales Office (NSO) activities and attend relevant functions to promote the hotel and its offerings

 What we need from you : 

  • Proven Sales Expertise – 2+ years’ experience in business development with a strong track record in prospecting, closing deals, and meeting sales targets.
  • Hunter’s Mindset & Market Awareness – Proactive, results-driven, and able to identify and capitalize on opportunities in the hospitality industry.
  • Strong Communication & Negotiation Skills – Ability to build relationships, convert leads, and confidently collaborate while working independently.
  • Industry Knowledge & System Proficiency – Familiarity with hospitality trends and experience using systems like Delphi, HotelKey, OTA Insights, Lighthouse, and Amadeus Agency 360.
  • Qualifications & Work Eligibility – Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience), full working rights in Australia, and hospitality industry experience preferred.
