We're seeking a Duty Manager to join our Front Office team. Reporting to the Front Office Manager, you'll lead operational shifts, deliver our signature guest experience, and support hotel operations across departments. As a key team member, you'll embody our brand values while ensuring exceptional service standards that connect guests with the vibrant culture of midtown Auckland.
A little taste of your day-to-day
- Lead shifts within front office operations, managing guest experiences, team performance and hotel operations
- Prioritize workload and ensure the team delivers authentic, memorable experiences
- Drive results that positively impact hotel performance
- Have authentic conversations with guests to resolve issues, queries or concerns
- Serve as the first point of contact for any critical emergency situations
- Support all areas of the hotel as needed, working collaboratively with the wider team
- Contribute to the ongoing development of our Front Office department and team members operational requirements and team development
What we need from you
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a Guest Services related position with leadership experience, preferably within a hotel/hospitality environment
- Qualifications in Hotel Management and/or in Business Administration related field preferred
- Valid (or ability to acquire) NZ General Managers certificate, Liquor license, First Aid Qualifications and Driver's License
- Experience using hotel property management and point of sale systems (Hotel Key is ideal!)
- Passionate about guest services and working as part of a team
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Full working rights within New Zealand with no restrictions
