Your day to day

As a Sous Chef, you will oversee the quality of food, timeliness of food preparation, maintenance of the kitchen, and colleagues' productivity to ensure that it is up to hotel quality standards. Ensures that kitchen operations are following brand standards and health and safety regulations. 

Every day is different, but you’ll mostly be:

Directs food preparation and collaborates with the Head Chef.
Helps in the design of food and drink menu.
Produces high quality plates, including both design and taste.
Oversees and supervises kitchen staff.
Ensures that food is top quality, and that kitchen is in good condition.
Keeps stations clean and complies with food safety standards.
Offers suggestions and creative ideas that can improve upon the kitchen’s performance.
Trains new employees.
Monitors and maintains kitchen equipment.
Solves problems that arise and seizes control of issues in the kitchen.

What we need from you

Degree or certificate in culinary arts
3- 5 years’ experience in the same capacity, preferably from a hotel or fine dining restaurant
Specialty in hot and cold International and Mediterranean Cuisine
