I will work strategically with the Human Resources Director to develop cohesive and productive goals for my department and establish procedures/guidelines to achieve them. I will maintain an overall consistency of the Company’s vision, quality/standards and develop concepts consistent with brand identity.
My scope of work includes:
- Keep abreast of industry trends and practices and update knowledge and skills to improve the product and service offering.
- Focus on the rejuvenation of the Human Resources department.
- Support Human Resources Director in the preparation and implementation of the property’ human resources plan in line with needs and host engagement initiatives.
- Attending and assisting on the preparation of periodic host meetings, awards, performance management system.
- Maintain confidential host files
- Assist on conducting periodic salary and benefit.
- Assist to schedule events, activities and team gatherings with the collaboration of my team and communicate any activities to hosts.
- Review and assist on developing host accommodation and host facilities, along with the host restaurant and host committee, careers fairs and various other host activities.
- Participate in Mission Wellness activities and social and environmental activities in coordination with the rest of Human Resources team.
- Follow Human Resources compliances on all legal, statutory and financial requirements.
- A high standard of personal appearance, grooming and hygiene, plus comprehensive knowledge of safety, security and emergency procedures will be maintained by myself and all hosts in line with brand and statutory requirements.
- Complete accurately all corporate reporting requirements for the role.
- Attend or conduct the designated meetings and briefings as instructed by the Human Resources Director
- Attend daily line up in different department to support HR communication
- In charge along with the Human Resources Director of the onboarding formalities for new hosts
- Support trainings in creating Merlin ID, coordinating training sheet attendance, communicating in a timely manner upcoming training, and helping with setup
- In charge of creating posters and power point presentation part of HR communication tools
- Support in keeping host file up to date
- Assist with host enquiries regarding mission wellness activities, host guidebook and joining formalities
- Support Human Resources Officer in registering host fingerprint for payroll system
Skills and Experience
To execute the position of Human Resources Trainee, I have the required qualifications, technical skills and experience in a similar role in luxury hotels with proven results. I possess a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in business or am currently pursuing the degree, preferably in Human Resources or Hospitality Management and more than five years’ experience in a similar human resources role.
Technical skills include Advanced MS Office - Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook and HRIS system. I have an excellent command of written and spoken English with some knowledge of the local language and customs.
I will maintain a thorough understanding of Six Senses in terms of guidelines, rules and regulations, brand and operating standards, facilities and services.
