In this role, I will assume full responsibility for the efficient operation of my department to provide exceptional products and services within Six Senses brand operating standards and budget.

I will work strategically with the Cluster General Manager  and the Chief Commercial Officer to develop cohesive and productive goals for my department and establish procedures/guidelines to achieve them.  I will maintain an overall consistency of the Company’s vision, quality/standards and develop concepts consistent with brand identity.

I will work collaboratively with the General Managers at properties, Executive teams and operations on correlated product standards and ensure that the brand provides a systematic culture that delivers excellent guest service results as measured by the brand, independent guest satisfaction company and social media vehicles in an effort to deliver on our promise to our guests and stakeholders. 

My scope of work includes:

  • Keep abreast of industry trends and practices and update knowledge and skills to improve the product and service offering.
  • Focus on the rejuvenation of my department. 
  • Processes will be constantly assessed and reviewed to remain relevant, innovative and in keeping with Six Senses wellness and sustainability practices.
  • Drive the right business at the right price to ensure the property achieves budgeted occupancy, rate and revenue. 
  • Writing and implementing the marketing plan, contracting, setting sales targets by segment and by client and prospect.
  • Undertake advertising, sales, promotions and publicity initiatives and working with the revenue manager for setting rates and directing the sales and marketing team. 
  • Continually focus on revenue generation and profile building for our property and for Six Senses. Marketing strategies and tactics will be constantly assessed to remain relevant and effective. 
  • Lead a team of engaged and experienced hosts to provide the Six Senses exceptional standards of operation and service.
  • Responsible for an exceptional guest experience from reservations to arrival and departure. In the event of guest complaints, I will effectively carry out service recovery or charge our hosts to do so to the satisfaction of guests.
  • Ensure that my department complies with all legal, statutory and financial requirements.
  • Implement, review and maintain documentation, reporting systems, contractual obligations, security and safety protocols, communications, product and service standards.
  • Position the properties by establishing key pillars with live layers of unique experiences and activities. 
  • Review and monitor competitive hotels to formulate recommendations on product and service enhancements to remain competitive.
  • Identify sources of business available to the properties and establish priority marketing opportunities in the solicitation of that business.
  • Analyze the properties's capabilities and identify CRM, digital marketing, social media, advertising, promotional events, programming and public relations initiatives required to attract complementary sources of business.
  • Develop and implement the Annual Marketing Plan.
  • Develop marketing programs consistent with Six Senses style and image.
  • Develop annual programming calendar and project manage each program. 
  • A high standard of personal appearance, grooming and hygiene, plus comprehensive knowledge of safety, security and emergency procedures will be maintained by myself and all hosts in line with brand and statutory requirements.
  • Ensure that interaction and communications between departments within the property are clear and effectively maintained to support the smooth running of the property. 
  • Possess a strong background knowledge and contacts across the travel agency universe, including Consortia and Tour Operators, acting as a key face for the properties within the industry including proactive sales events and trade shows. 
  • Nurture a hunter-type attitude with the sales team, pushing aggressive pro-active sales across our properties and Residences product. 
  • Develop and approve travel schedules and budgets for your properties
  • Ensure that all activities within my department are carried out ethically, honestly and within the parameters of local law.
  • Revise and control that my department’s budget is strictly adhered to, and all costs will be continually monitored and controlled to drive profitability, while taking into consideration the preservation of required standards with every decision made.
  • Attend or conduct the designated meetings and briefings as instructed by the General Manager  with a two-way flow of pertinent information and communications.
  • Perform any additional duties given to me by the General Manager.

To execute the position of Cluster Director of Sales & Marketing Saudi Arabia, I must have the required qualifications, technical skills and experience in a similar role in luxury hotels with proven results and includes the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Marketing, or related field and five years total experience in hospitality or hotels sales and marketing setting, with direct supervisory experience over a sales team, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. More than five years’ experience in a senior sales and marketing role, preferred.
  • Advanced MS Office - Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. I am also familiar with various hotel systems including PMS and CRM platforms. 
  • Fluent in English; I understand that additional languages are preferred.
