Your Day-to-Day

  • Help Achieve budgeted revenues and personal/team goals to maximize hotel profitability. 
  • Participate in the preparation of the annual departmental operating budget, the hotel marketing plan and business plan, and financial plans. 
  • Create and implement effective Public Relation plans and set annual budgets that help promote room, recreation, food & beverage and banquet sales. 
  • Liaise with Director of Sales & Marketing in targeting specific markets and developing the public relations strategies to reach these markets. 
  • Attend events locally and nationally to promote the hotel and to build a profile and increase marketing opportunities for the hotel.   
  • Enhance the image of the hotel within local community 
  • Maintain good communication with regional PR & Communication personnel and implement corporate initiatives. 
  • Overlook the production and InterContinental Brand compliance of hotel collateral, marketing material and advertising plans. 
  • Develop online marketing plans for the hotel and overlook social media and Ecommerce channels. 
  • Ensure the hotel is appearing high in search results for the relevant keywords on all Google feeder market networks to achieve system delivery targets. 
  • Ensure hotel promotions are delivered to the right audience through print and on-line promotions. 
  • Maintains guest lists and invitations to VIP guests, InterContinental recreation and corporate data base and distribution based on IHG standards. 
  • Oversee hotel photography making sure it follows brand guidelines including pre-authorization documentation. 
  • Monitor awareness of competitor activities and use information when developing strategies.
  • Oversee sponsorship activities. 
  • Prepare newsworthy press releases. 
  • Direct day-to-day PR activities, plan and assign work, and establish performance and development goals for team members. 
  • Provide mentoring, coaching and regular feedback to help manage conflict, improve team member performance, and recognize good performance. 
  • Educate, train and motivate PR & Communication teams to achieve goals. 
  • Ensure staff has the information, on all promotional activities taking place at the hotel 
  • Develop and maintain relationships with Key figures of the community and outside contacts i.e. guests, government VIPs, charity organization. 
  • Keep good relationships with corporate level team members for PR, Content and Social media and ensure their trainings and buy-ins are always mandated.
  • Produce hotel collateral to communicate hotel promotional activities as per guidelines. 
  • Develop content on social media, online channels and hotel website. 
  • Associate with conventions and business group activities at the hotel & outside to keep up with what is happening in town. 
  • Check all Arabic communication directed towards guests. 
  • Associate with local charities.
  • Work closely with key figures, officials, and representatives of local community groups within the city to ensure constant high-profile exposure for the hotel. 
  • Organize environmental and charity events connecting the hotel with the local community. 
  • Work with advertising agencies or PR agencies to maximize hotel exposure and ensure ads represent brand identity. 
  • Perform other duties as assigned. May also serve as manager on duty. 

​What we need from you

  • Bachelor Degree In Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field.
  • 3+ years’ experience in same position 
  • Ability to think creatively and adapt to the dynamic needs of the market 
  • Extensive knowledge and experience with events and promotions 
  • Detail oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects from inception through execution 
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written 
  • Excellent command of the English language both writing and verbal communication skills, computer literacy and working knowledge of Microsoft Office is required 
  • Self-starter with both a collaborative and hands-on approach 
  • Aptitude to navigate through analytics and financial statements 
  • Ability to multi-task 
  • Able to read and interpret financial statements. 
  • Able to create and conduct presentations to management and peers that are creative, informative, and present the point of view respectfully and timely.
