Supervises chambermaids’ and porters’ work and work methods. 

Ensures the floors’ inventory management for amenities.  

Ensures the cleanliness of hotel rooms, suites and public spaces. 

Ensures the VIP services’ set up. 

Manages rooms in collaboration with the Front Office. 

Prepares the daily chambermaids’ listing. 

Organizes periodical cleanings. 

Writes work orders. 

Ensures the permanent connection with the Laundry department for furniture cleaning and sewing work.   

Ensures the daily follow up of special services offered to important and/or long stay guests. 

At the end of the afternoon shift, checks the presence of all passes and keys in the key cupboard, using the notebook provided for this purpose; reports any anomaly to his superior.  

Ensures that the Housekeeping staff is familiar with the hotel’s facilities and services in order for them to be able to answer guests’ queries if needed.  

Ensures that his team respects the internal rules regarding grooming and dresscode: hygiene, uniform’s state and cleanliness, grooming, attitude and behavior.  

Animates briefings, floor meetings and performs evaluations.  

Ensures the good coordination of his team with the hotel’s other services, including Front Office, Maintenance and Laundry. 

Receives and records guest complaints and suggestions, takes immediate action to satisfy them, and notifies his superior if he cannot solve the problem on his own or if the importance justifies it. 

Ensures in-room guest comfort: cleanliness, special requests, etc. 

Makes sure guests are served with diligence and courtesy. 

Makes sure regular and/or important guests receive special attention. 

Knows perfectly our offers, in order to provide any information to our guests. 

Makes enquiries about the events occurring within the hotel and outside of the hotel (fairs, congresses, seminars, etc.) in order to answer guests’ queries. 

Builds and maintains effective relationships with the other departments. 

Conveys the right values ​​and the good behaviors in his service as well as towards his colleagues and his hierarchy. 

Informs the Management Team of any incident or problem that occurs during work hours, particularly those he is not able to solve or whose importance justifies it, whether it concerns work-related issues or employee-related problems.  

Applies procedures and policies within the hotel and all new procedures according to the management orders and submits new propositions to the Management in order to improve the department efficiency. 

Applies the internal procedures in terms of health, hygiene and safety. 

Controls cleaning products’ use to avoid any waste, dangerous or improper use that could have negative effects on health or furniture.  

Applies and enforces environmental good practices in his department, particularly as part of the Green Globe certification (waste sorting, black & white printing, paperless meeting, etc.). 

May exceptionally perform other duties at the request of his hierarchy. 

 

PROFIL : 

Higher degree in Hospitality Management. Minimum 1 to 2 years of experience in a similar position in a hotel establishment of the same category (4- or 5-star) and capacity (+200 rooms). 

Fluent French and English. Mastering a third foreign language of one of our target markets (Germany, China, India, Italy, Middle East, Netherlands, Russia) is highly desirable. 

Good computer skills and knowledge of Opera. 

Excellent interpersonal, leadership and listening skills. 

Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and sense of observation. 

Reactivity, adaptability, efficiency. 

Diplomacy, rigor and calm. 

Sense of discretion and confidentiality.
