Spa Director

Duties and Responsibilities  

As Spa Director, I will assume full responsibility for the efficient operation in the following:  

• Keeping abreast of industry trends and practices and updating knowledge and skills to improve the product and service offering.
• Continually focus on the rejuvenation of the spa experience.
• Spa treatments, exercise classes, and wellness facilities and equipment will be constantly assessed to remain relevant and in keeping with Six Senses wellness and sustainability practices.  
• Upkeep Six Senses guidelines and standards of service and operation. My performance benchmarks are maintained and exceeded.  
• Drive and monitor performance through KPIs, linking results with sales and marketing activities.  
• Review the monthly P&L, scrutinizing departmental costs to optimize profit margins without compromising quality. 
• Ensure that spas have spa website updated 
• Monitor and compile accurate sales and marketing statistics and revenue records. 
• Revise and control that my department’s budget is strictly adhered to and all costs will be continually monitored and controlled to drive profitability, while taking into consideration the preservation of required standards with every decision made. 
• Prepare and submit legally required and confidential documentation related to my department. 
• Strictly adhere to LQA standards and guest comments.  

Qualifications

To execute the position of Spa Director, I must have the required qualifications, technical skills, and experience in a similar role in luxury hotels with proven results including the following:

High school diploma or equivalent and at least 3 years’ experience in similar luxury spas and health clubs with proven references. A hospitality diploma/degree from a recognized hospitality school is preferred.

Graduated or have a broad knowledge of anatomy and physiology, massage therapy, and beauty therapy at either NVQ, ITEC, or CIDESCO.

Service-oriented with an eye for details.

Self-motivated and energetic.

Fluent in English; I understand that additional languages are preferred.
