Your Day to Day

As General Technician, you will be responsible for inspecting, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems and swimming pools, ensuring they are operating efficiently and safely.  This role requires technical expertise and a passion for keeping facilities in excellent condition.

Some of main responsibilities are:

• Install, inspect, and repair plumbing systems, including pipes, valves, fittings, and fixtures.
• Diagnose plumbing issues and provide cost-effective solutions.
• Perform routine inspections of plumbing systems to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Test and adjust water chemistry levels (chlorine, pH, alkalinity, etc.) to maintain safe and hygienic conditions.
• Inspect and repair pool pumps, filters, heaters, and other mechanical equipment.
• Identify and troubleshoot leaks or other structural issues in pools.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations for swimming pools.
• Perform preventative maintenance on plumbing and pool systems to avoid major repairs.
• Use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment for repair tasks.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency repair calls.
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to complete projects efficiently.
• Keep accurate records of repairs, maintenance activities, and part replacements.
• Follow safety procedures and wear appropriate protective gear while working.

Ideally, you'll have some or all of the following competencies and experience we're looking for:

• Minimum 1-2 years experience in hotels in similar position 
• Proven experience in plumbing and pool maintenance.
• Strong knowledge of plumbing systems, tools, and equipment.
• Familiarity with pool equipment, water chemistry, and filtration systems.
• Ability to diagnose and repair both plumbing and pool-related issues.
• Physical stamina to perform manual tasks and lift heavy equipment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good command of English language, both oral and written
