Your Day to Day

As a Demi Chef de Partie, you will assist the Chef de Partie and Sous Chef in the daily operation of the assigned kitchen section, ensuring food is prepared and presented according to hotel standards and guest expectations.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Prepare, cook, and present food items according to approved recipes, quality standards, and presentation guidelines.
  • Support the Chef de Partie in managing the assigned kitchen section efficiently.
  • Ensure all mise en place is prepared and available before service periods.
  • Maintain high standards of food hygiene, sanitation, and workplace safety in accordance with HACCP requirements.
  • Monitor food quality, freshness, and portion control to minimize waste and maximize profitability.
  • Assist with receiving, storing, and rotating food products following FIFO procedures.
  • Ensure equipment is operated safely and maintained in good working condition.
  • Support training and mentoring of Commis Chefs and kitchen attendants when required.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure smooth kitchen operations during busy service periods.
  • Follow all company policies, procedures, and brand standards.

 

What We Need From You

  • Diploma or certification in Culinary Arts, Hospitality, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of culinary experience in a hotel, resort, or high-volume restaurant environment.
  • Previous experience as a Commis Chef or similar role.
  • Good knowledge of food preparation techniques, kitchen operations, and food safety standards.
  • Understanding of HACCP and local food hygiene regulations.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays as required.
  • Passion for delivering exceptional culinary experiences.
