This role Manage community programmes and NGO/charity partnerships for GC, partnering with key regional stakeholders to deliver community impact and position IHG as a company that cares.
Your day to day
- Managing Strategy Development and Implementation of Global Community Programmes to maximise impact (hotel engagement, number of beneficiaries) in GC
- Input into developing global communities/ Giving for Good (GfG) strategy and lead on translating this into a long/ medium term strategy for Greater China.
- Giving for Good (GFG): lead all aspects of GFG, communication, toolkit, data collection, assurance of data, regional engagement and target setting, as well as local charity programmes for IHG office colleagues.
- IHG Skills Academy and Academy: collaborate with HR to localise the Skills Academy and support programme implementation
- Loyalty Programme: support and develop the charitable side of IHG One Rewards which allows members to donate points to charity
- Regional Community Impact
- Strategy development and implementation: Develop and execute a comprehensive community strategy aligned with global framework and company‘s values and business objectives.
- Program management: Oversee the planning, execution, and evaluation of community programs, ensure programs are effectively reaching intended beneficiaries and achieving desired outcomes. Develop tools and resources needed by corporate colleagues and hotels to deliver across GC. Ensure all activities comply with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Partnership management: Identify, evaluate and establish partnerships with reputable NGOs and charities around IHG focus areas: Skills, Food Security, Disasters across region. Maintain strong relationships with partners to ensure collaboration and mutual benefits.
- Stakeholder engagement: Engage with internal and external stakeholders, including employees, hotel colleagues, external community social platforms to promote awareness of community programs and their impact within the company and the broader community. Coordinate volunteer opportunities and encourage employee participation.
- Monitor and evaluation: Develop and implement systems for tracking the progress and impact of community initiatives. Collect and analyse data to measure the effective’s of programs and partnerships. Prepare regular reports and presentations on programs and outcomes for senior management and other stakeholders.
- Regional donation and funding management: Manage all aspects of the two GC foundation fund (CYDF & CSQLF), incl. coordination of all fundraising activities across the region at a Corporate and hotel level, NGO contracts management, managing the Governance Committee and all associated reporting requirements.
- Budget management: Develop and manage the budget for community activities and programmes. Ensure resources are allocated efficiently and transparently. Seek additional funding or grants where possible to expand the reach of community programmes.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay informed about trends and best practices in CSR, seek opportunities for innovation andimprovement, participate in relevant networks, forums and conferences to enhance knowledge and collaboration.
What we need from you
- Educational Attainment: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field of work or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience. More than eight years of progressive work experience, preferably in the private or non-profit sector working on environmental, social and/or governance issues.
- Critical Expertise & Experience:
- Experience in strategic philanthropy and community investment measurement and practical experience in measuring input, output and impact from community programmes.
- Proven communicator with the with the ability to effectively engage with array of internal and external stakeholders and proven ability to manage relationships and influence key stakeholders
- Strong project management and organisational skills, strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Financial acumen and budget management skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with range of business partners within a highly matrixed organization
- Ability to take initiative to ensure successful delivery of outcomes in a fast-paced operating environment
- Basic knowledge of Hospitality business model and drivers
- Technical Skills & Knowledge:
- Managing fundraising and charity partnerships
- General knowledge of full range of sustainability issues, including environmental, social and governance (ESG) issues, key trends and best practice with hospitality and across industries
- Strong analytical capabilities, and ability to surface insights and craft compelling communications
