As the Bar Manager for Kimpton Tsim Sha Tsui Hong Kong, you will create an exciting, innovative, and memorable dining experience for all guests. Lead a well-rounded and knowledgeable front-of-house team. Proper guest service requires a staff that is thoroughly trained in service etiquette, product knowledge, and makes every effort to meet the needs of each and every guest.

A little taste of your day-to-day

Every day is different, but you’ll mostly be:

  • Managing daily bar operations and ensuring adherence to all standards and protocols
  • Developing innovative beverage concepts and promotions to enhance guest experiences and drive sales
  • Leading and motivating a team of bartenders and servers, fostering a culture of teamwork and guest satisfaction
  • Providing ongoing training and professional development to bar team, ensuring top-notch service delivery
  • Collaborating with the culinary team to create complementary food and beverage pairings
  • Maintaining inventory and control costs while ensuring health and safety regulations compliance
  • Monitoring industry trends and competitor offerings to keep our bar at the forefront of the market.

What we need from you

  • A minimum of 6 years of experience in the food and beverage industry, with at least 2 years in a similar position
  • A bachelor’s degree in in hospitality management, restaurants, culinary management or equivalent
  • A holder of local Hygiene Manager Certificate and/or Food Safety and Hygiene certification
  • Proven track record in bar operations with a deep understanding of beverage trends and market dynamics
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate and develop a diverse team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on guest satisfaction
  • Attention to details, good planning, organising and problem solving skills
  • Excellent command in both English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin), speaking and writing; speak other languages is an advantage
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
