Our guests’ memorable experiences must start somewhere. So why not with you? We’re looking for a new Bellperson to take ownership of delivering exceptional first impressions – managing everything from registration and reservations to porter and concierge services.

A little taste of your day-to-day:

  • Escorts incoming hotel guests to rooms and assists guests with luggage.
  • Inspects guest's room to ensure that it is in order and that supplies are adequate.
  • Explains features of room such as operation of radio, television, telephone, in-room movie system, etc.
  • Offers information pertaining to available services and facilities of hotel, points of interest and entertainment attractions.
  • Delivering clean laundry, guest mail/messages, or sundry items to guest rooms, and responding to other special requests.
  • Delivers messages and runs errands.
  • Maintains the front porte-cochere by picking up trash
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Respond appropriately to guest complaints.  Inform supervisor of major problems, complaints, disturbances, or dissatisfied guests.  
  • Promptly and safely transport luggage to and from guest rooms.  May secure, tag and store luggage at guest’s request.

 What We need from you:

High School diploma or equivalent, plus some guest service experience or hotel experience preferred.  Must speak fluent English.  Other languages preferred.

What you can expect from us:

The hourly pay range for this role is $18.00-$20.35. This range is only applicable for jobs to be performed at InterContinental San Diego. This is the lowest to highest pay scale we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee’s pay position within the pay range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, and business or organizational needs.

Note: No amount of pay is wages or compensation until such amount is earned, vested, and determinable. The amount and availability of any bonus, commission, or any other form of compensation that are allocable to a particular employee remains in the Company's sole discretion unless and until paid and may be modified at the Company’s sole discretion, consistent with the law.
