YOUR DAY TO DAY

This position has overall responsibility for assisting the bartenders/servers in providing fast and courteous service of food and beverage to guests by clearing and setting tables and performing miscellaneous tasks.

• Stock bar area with liquor, beer, wine, non-alcoholic drinks, ice, and supplies by following established procedures. Replenish as needed throughout shift
• Assist Bartender in the preparation of garnishes and mixes
• May set-up and replenish appetizer or buffet, when applicable
• Separate dirty china, glassware and silver and deliver to kitchen for cleaning.
• Perform set-up and closing side work assignments such as make coffee, fold napkins, etc. 
• Stock service station or pantry with napkins, placemats, condiments, etc. 
• May be required to transport linens to and from laundry.
• May routinely fill water glasses, serve non-alcoholic beverages, and assist servers by delivering items to guest tables.
• Perform other duties as assigned including but not limited to bar duties.
• Always follow safety procedures.

What we need from you

Fitness – you’ll be on your feet most of the day with lots of bending and kneeling.

Strength –  you’ll need to lift, push and pull big objects like barrels and crates up to 50lbs (23 kg).

Literate – you’ll need a good grasp of reading, writing and basic maths.

Flexible – night, weekend and holiday shifts are all part of the job.

Experienced – you’ll know how to prepare a wide range of drinks. Ideally with formal bartending training.

Compliant – as well as meeting local laws on food handling and serving alcohol, you’ll be above the minimum age required and fluent in the local language.

Articulate – a great communicator, you’ll be warm, welcoming and easy to talk to.
