Job Requirements:
- Language - Fluent in both Korean and English (speaking, listening, reading and writing)
- This is Exempt Salary position.
- Work home base can be on Guam, Saipan or Korea.
- Education - Bachelor’s degree / higher education qualification / equivalent in marketing or related field.
- Service years - At least Five or more years of experience in a hospitality or resort sales.
- Knowledge and skills
- Strong knowledge of Micronesia (Guam and Saipan) businesses and business trends required.
- Proactive Sales skill
- Good Communication and writing skills.
- Strong negotiation skill
- Demonstrated ability to interact with customers, employees and third parties that reflects highly on the resort, the brand and the Company.
- Problem solving, reasoning, motivating, organizational and training abilities.

What’s the job?
As a Cluster Sales Manager – Korea Market, you’ll develop and execute sales strategies and action plans to ensure targets are met and goals are achieved for both Crowne Plaza Resort Guam and Crowne Plaza Resort Saipan. Regularly sell bedrooms, meeting rooms and restaurant & bar through direct client contacts, vendors, travel agents, tour operators, visitor bureaus, convention bureaus, IHG Sales Team and other partners.

People

- Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other departments.
- Recommend or initiate any HR related actions where needed.
- Cooperates, coordinates and communicates with Department Heads and other inter-departmental secretaries as appropriate.
- Coordinate all methods of maintaining and increasing business volume. This includes sales promotion, partnership, publicity, community relations, special sales projects, etc
- Support colleagues to make sure they deliver with compliance and to the standards we expect
Financial
- Achieve Korean market sales goals and maximise profitability by proactively conduct the day-to-day Sales actions, and Participate any occasional showcase, roadshow opportunities relate to Korean Market and organized by IHG.
- Create and implement sales plans that drive measurable incremental occupancy, increase average rates, increase volume, food and beverage and banquet sales of all areas/segments of Korean market – Wholesalers, Corporate, Online Sales Channels, MICE Groups and Airline Crew
- Regular communication and update of Market intelligence to create and launch new promotions
- Produce monthly reports and sales forecasts to analyse current/potential market and sales trends, coordinate activities to increase revenue and market share and monitor performance to ensure actual sales meet or exceed established revenue plans.
Guest Experience
- Deliver Crowne Plaza Brand Promise and Service Signatures in your daily work.
- Help guests - you’ll be happy to help if someone needs assistance with a request or complaint
- Provide guests with information (example: loyalty programmes, area attractions, restaurants, facility information) to enhance guest experience.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key clients and outside contacts to produce group and/or convention business, to include room sales, food & beverage sales, and catering/banquet services
- Schedule conventions and/or business group activities at the resort and coordinate with other resort-level departments to facilitate services agreed upon by the sales office and prospective clients.
Responsible Business
- Identify improvements to overall hotel sales performance and work with other departments.
- Cooperate with Marketing team marketing activities to raise the awareness and reputation of Crowne Plaza Resort Guam and Saipan and the brand to Korean market.
- Be responsible in keeping the property safe and secure, to participate in any resort activity related to Fire Life safety.
- Perform other ad-hoc duties – unexpected moments which may be assigned by management when we have to pull together to get a task done.
