The InterContinental Hotels Group® at Dubai Festival City consists of four hotels. These include the luxury and lifestyle brand InterContinental, the lavish long-stay InterContinental Residence Suites, the premium Crowne Plaza, and the essentials Holiday Inn & Suites. In addition to over 1,600 rooms, the cluster boasts a selection of 16 restaurants and bars, an impressive 3,800-square-metre Event Centre across two levels, the 5,000-square-metre Festival Arena by InterContinental, the luxurious Spa InterContinental, and state-of-the-art gym and swimming pool facilities. A little taste of your day-to-day

  • Maintain accurate records of all food items in the store.
  • Regularly update inventory records and perform periodic stock checks.
  • Ensure that all inventory items are properly labelled and stored.
  • Receive deliveries of food supplies and verify their quality, quantity, and compliance with purchase orders.
  • Inspect and ensure that all received items are free from damage and meet hotel standards.
  • Organize and store items in designated areas to maximize space and ensure easy retrieval.
  • Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the storage areas, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Implement First-In, First-Out (FIFO) method to ensure proper stock rotation and minimize waste.
  • Monitor expiration dates and ensure timely use of perishable items.
  • Issue supplies to kitchen staff as requested, ensuring proper documentation and control.
  • Coordinate with kitchen and service department to fulfil their inventory needs promptly and accurately.
  • Maintain detailed records of all transactions, including receipts, issues, and returns.
  • Prepare and submit regular inventory reports to the executive chef.
  • Assist in managing the budget food cost.
  • Communicate with suppliers regarding orders, discrepancies, and returns.
  • Ensure compliance with all hotel policies and procedures, as well as local health and safety regulations.
  • Assist in conducting periodic physical inventory counts.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the executive chef.

What we need from you

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Basic computer skills for inventory management software.
  • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy items as required.
