InterContinental Abu Dhabi is a luxury hotel located on the shores of the Arabian Gulf, offering a unique blend of modern sophistication and rich cultural heritage. We are seeking a highly skilled and creative Senior Chef de Partie – Pastry to join our dynamic pastry team at InterContinental Abu Dhabi. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily pastry operations, creating exquisite desserts, and ensuring the highest standards of culinary excellence. You will work closely with the Executive Pastry Chef and other kitchen staff to deliver memorable dining experiences for our guests.

A little taste of your day-to-day:

Every day is different, but you’ll mostly do:

  • Lead and manage the pastry section, ensuring efficient operation and quality control.
  • Prepare and present a wide range of innovative and high-quality pastries, desserts, and baked goods.
  • Supervise, train, and mentor junior pastry chefs, ensuring adherence to the hotel's high standards.
  • Ensure proper handling and storage of all ingredients to maintain quality and safety.
  • Assist in menu planning and the creation of seasonal pastry offerings.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pastry kitchen, following all hygiene and safety standards.
  • Monitor inventory and order supplies as needed to ensure continuous operations.
  • Collaborate with the broader culinary team to ensure a seamless guest experience across all dining outlets.
  • Stay updated with current pastry trends and techniques to continuously elevate the culinary offerings.

What we need from you:

  • Proven experience as a Chef de Partie or similar role in the pastry department, preferably in luxury hotels or fine dining restaurants.
  • In-depth knowledge of pastry techniques, dessert presentation, and baking.
  • Passion for creativity, innovation, and delivering exceptional quality.
  • A culinary degree or relevant certification is preferred.
