Job Status:

  1. Non-exempt hourly position.
  2. $12.00 per hour.
  3. This is a Full Time position and required to work flexible shifts.

Job Requirement:

  1. Must be able to work in Guam USA without restrictions - US Citizens, US Premenant Residents, and Residents for Ferderated States of Micronisa (FSM).
  2. Must be able to obtain Certification of Certifications of Shallow Water Lifguarding and Certification of First Aid and CPR for Professional Rescuers.

 

What’s the job?

Interact with guests in an engaging and friendly attitude and promote the Resort’s recreation activities and facilities to guests.

Your-day-to-day

People

  • Promote teamwork and quality service through regular communication and coordination with managers, team members, and other departments. 

Financial

  • Process payments or other transactions (such as issuing bands or cards) with guests for recreation activities or facility use.     
  • Administer and monitor recreation activities and create or present reports as requested.
  • Monitor and ensure adequate supplies of recreation or safety equipment and first aid items.

Guest Experience

  • Lead and participate in pool and other recreational activities.
  • Maintain a clean, neat and organized recreation area.
  • Respond calmly and react quickly to emergencies.
  • Act as a lifeguard and render first aid or CPR as needed.

Responsible Business

  • Clean designated areas and equipment and inspect accordingly for any hazards.
  • Monitor cleanliness of swimming pools and surrounding areas.
  • May assist with other duties as required.

What we need from you

Education - Basic reading, writing and math skills. 

Service years - None. Recreation Attendant/Lifeguard in Hotel industry preferred.

Knowledge and skills

  • Carrying or lifting items weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Standing up, walking and moving about the facilities 
  • Bending, stooping, kneeling 
  • Handling recreation and safety equipment
  • Administer first aid or CPR 

Language

  • Fluent in English (speaking, listening, reading and writing)
  • Multi-lingual preferred but not required.

Preferred (if required)

  • Communication skills, following instructions.
  • Reading skills are utilized often when reading instructions or labels or handling equipment.
  • Must be able to work nights, weekends, holidays, and during inclement weather.
  • Perform in a self-directed and creative manner.
