We are seeking a proactive Housekeeping Supervisor to support the Executive Housekeeper in delivering clean, comfortable, and well-maintained spaces for our guests. This role inspects guest rooms, suites and public areas, trains and coaches staff, helps schedule shifts, and steps in to perform housekeeping duties as needed. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and customer-focused.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with scheduling and room assignments to ensure adequate coverage and efficient operations.
- Inspect guest rooms, suites, public areas, storage rooms, and room attendant carts for cleanliness, maintenance needs, supplies, and overall presentation.
- Advise and train staff on corrective actions for deficiencies; provide retraining as needed to maintain standards.
- Monitor staff performance and recommend disciplinary action per company policy; escalate potentially serious issues to management.
- Respond to guest complaints and special requests; ensure corrective actions are taken to achieve complete guest satisfaction.
- Control expenses and minimize waste while maintaining quality standards.
- Complete required paperwork and closing duties (supply requisitions, maintenance requests, log books, lost & found logs, etc.).
- Promote teamwork and coordinate daily with other departments to deliver a seamless guest experience.
- Perform housekeeping duties as required, including making beds, vacuuming, and deep-cleaning projects.
- Adhere to and enforce safety and cleanliness standards; report maintenance issues promptly.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1–2 years of housekeeping experience in a hotel environment preferred; supervisory experience a plus.
- Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and push/pull approximately 200 lbs.
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, stooping, kneeling, and handling of equipment.
- Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
- This position pay rate is $19.30
