Take orders, make coffee, tea and other drinks to guest specifications in a fast-paced work environment. Operate point of sale, suggest products that might appeal to customer, provide excellent customer services while ensuring satisfaction from beginning to end, all while working at a Beautiful Bayfront property.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Greet guests and respond to guests needs in a timely, efficient, and friendly manner.
• Uphold the Starbucks Barista Promise of making every beverage right.
• Performing opening duties to include setting of pastry case to schematic, brewing tea/coffee, setting furniture, and stocking.
• Performing closing duties to include washing of all dishes, stocking, securing patio furniture, prep, end of day mark outs for expiring product.
• Pulling pastries for Pull to thaw.
• Perform regular lobby slides to include sweeping, mopping, stocking, checking bathrooms for cleanliness, wiping of tables and fixtures both inside and outside, and ensuring patio/lobby seating remain inviting.
• Perform regular maintenance and cleanliness of all machines.
• Prepare and serve hot or cold beverages, such as coffee, espresso drinks, blended coffees, or teas following standard recipes and preparation techniques.
• Clean or sanitize work areas, utensils, or equipment.
• Actively sample menu items or pastries to guests while being knowledgeable about product.
• Create lasting impressions through engagement with guests.
• Clean service areas.
• Check temperatures of freezers, refrigerators, or heating equipment to ensure proper functioning
• Describe menu items to customers or suggest products that might appeal to them.
• Order, receive, or stock supplies or retail products.
• Provide customers with product details, such as coffee blend or preparation descriptions.
• Accurately total, process and collect payment.
• Serve prepared foods, such as muffins, breakfast sandwiches, or bagels.
• Stock customer service stations with paper products or beverage preparation items.
• Take customer orders and convey them to other employees for preparation.
• Take out garbage.
• Grind coffee beans for customers.
• Wrap, label, or date food items for sale.
• Create signs to advertise store products or events.
• Demonstrate the use of retail equipment, share knowledge around merchandise.
• Prepare and serve menu items, such as sandwiches or salads.
• Set up or restock product displays.
• Perform daily, weekly, and monthly preventative maintenance tasks on machines.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
- High School diploma or equivalent, plus some guest service experience or hotel experience preferred. Prior café or coffee shop experience a plus. Must speak fluent English.
This job requires ability to perform the following:
· Carrying, pushing, or lifting items weighing up to 50 pounds
· Moving about the public areas
· Bending, stooping, kneeling
· Standing for long periods of time
