Assistant Director of Sales (GCC)- Six Senses The Palm Dubai

As Assistant Director of Sales (GCC), I will assume full responsibility for the efficient operation of my department to provide exceptional products and services within Six Senses brand operating standards and the GCC Sales budget and targets.

I will work strategically with the Director of Sales to develop cohesive and productive goals for my department and establish procedures/guidelines to achieve them.  I will maintain an overall consistency of the Company’s vision, quality/standards and develop concepts consistent with brand identity.

My scope of work includes:

• Keeping abreast of industry trends and practices and update knowledge and skills to improve the product and service offering.

• Drive the right business at the right price to ensure the property achieves budgeted occupancy, rate and revenue.

• Continually focus on revenue generation and profile building for our property and for Six Senses. Marketing strategies and tactics will be constantly assessed to remain relevant and effective.

• Partner with the Director of Sales to develop and execute the long-term commercial strategy for the hotel.

• Work closely with the Revenue Management, Marketing, and Operations teams to ensure alignment of goals and strategies.

• A high standard of personal appearance, grooming and hygiene, plus comprehensive knowledge of safety, security and emergency procedures will be maintained by myself and all hosts in line with brand and statutory requirements.

• Ensure that interaction and communications between departments within the property are clear and effectively maintained to support the smooth running of the property.

• Ensure that all activities within my department are carried out ethically, honestly and within the parameters of local law.

• Lead a high-performing sales strategy (proactive and reactive) across allocated market segments taking full responsibility for the strategic direction, operational management, and overall performance of the department.

•Where required, attend industry trade shows and selected Six Senses and Luxury & Lifestyle road shows, acting as a brand ambassador with key stakeholders, clients, and industry partners to enhance our market positioning.

• Prepare and present regular performance reports, highlighting key achievements, challenges, and forward-looking strategies.

Qualifications

To execute the position of Assistant Director of Sales (GCC), I have the required qualifications, technical skills and experience in a similar role in luxury hotels with proven results. I possess a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in hospitality, Business Administration or one of the other relevant faculties.

Possess a minimum of 3 years total experience in luxury hospitality with direct supervisory experience over the GCC Market Segment. I also have a strong understanding of the business landscape in Dubai, including cultural nuances and market trends.  Technical skills include Advanced MS Office - Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.

I have an excellent command of written and spoken English, and I bring additional fluency in Arabic, which is required for the role.

Specific days and timing are based on the business needs, seasonality and local labour laws. I also recognize that the role is dynamic and may change to meet operational requirements. My performance is measured directly against these job responsibilities. I understand there will be a requirement to travel for work-related meetings and events.
