Key Responsibilities Sales & Revenue Generation
- Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve and exceed revenue targets across corporate, MICE, and leisure segments.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities through proactive prospecting, networking, and industry events.
- Maintain and expand relationships with key accounts, travel agencies, event planners, and high-net-worth individuals.
- Conduct site inspections and sales presentations to showcase the hotel’s unique offerings.
- Collaborate with the Revenue and Marketing teams to develop pricing strategies, promotions, and market positioning.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and client needs to adapt sales strategies accordingly.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for high-value clients, ensuring personalized service and long-term partnerships.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing agreements, and business terms to secure high-revenue bookings.
- Coordinate with internal teams (Rooms, F&B, Banquets, Events) to ensure flawless execution of guest expectations.
- Develop loyalty and retention strategies to enhance repeat business and maximize revenue potential.
- Prepare accurate sales forecasts, performance reports, and market analysis for the Director of Sales & Marketing.
- Maintain detailed client records and sales activities using hotel sales management systems (e.g., Opera, Delphi).
- Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling across different hotel departments.
- Mentor and guide junior sales team members to enhance their sales skills and client management techniques.
- Represent the hotel at industry trade shows, networking events, and client meetings to strengthen brand presence.
- Uphold the luxury standards of the InterContinental brand in all sales interactions and guest engagements.
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in luxury hotel sales, with a focus on corporate, MICE, or high-end leisure markets.
- Proven track record of exceeding sales targets and building long-term client relationships.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in sales management systems (e.g., Opera, Delphi) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to travel for client meetings, trade shows, and industry events.
- Fluency in English is required; additional languages are a plus.
