As Sales Manager, I will assume full responsibility for the efficient operation of the Sales and Marketing department to provide exceptional products and services within brand operating standards.
- Be responsible for specific /new accounts, group booking, wedding event, MICE in Northside market
- Focus on high-end clients for MICE, Event, and Wedding on corporate segment (Northside market)
- Ongoing maintenance/development of Leisure and Corporate, Embassy/Chamber & Government accounts.
- Prospect meetings with potential clients/partners for sales pitch to convince them that the resort is the most suitable one to meet their needs. Negotiation on room rates might be required to give the best deal for the client.
- Research & identify new accounts.
- Maintain and update all leisure/wholesale contact lists and databases from Northside market
- Maintain frequent contact with established and prospective clients.
- Make sales /phone calls to develop & maintain current accounts through client relationships.
- Negotiate rates; establish files, issue contracts, process bookings and appropriate follow up correspondence with clients.
- Propose & implement programs (promotion/special offer, rate…) to improve room sales and to target low/high season for all segments.
- Be responsible for preparing and presenting proposals, maintaining well-organized documentation and reports.
- Attend and participate in various sales and resort meetings and coordinating customer-service requests as needed.
- Work closely with GM and all HODs to determine the effective sales strategies for all markets segments towards maximizing the resort revenue in rooms, food & beverage, banquet, meeting…
- Daily sales call in Hanoi and represent resorts at leisure/wholesale related events. Participate regularly in trade shows or other promotional events, sales call, client’s dinner, luncheon to solicit new business. To do weekly minutes for sales call.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as requested by the ADOSM/DOSM.
- As a management position, a large part of the sales manager duties is creating, training and managing a staff of sales professionals.
- Make daily phone calls to potential accounts in Hanoi.
Requirement:
- Working in Ha Noi
- Relevant background, knowledge and experience in Sales and Marketing for a hotel industry is necessary.
- Bachelor’s degree in hospitality industry is preferred.
- Have at least three to five years of experience in a similar role for hospitality industry.
- Be excellent communication and presentation skills, as well as strong negotiation skills.
- Be tactful in dealing with local/overseas travel agents.
- Continually reach out to find new business in order to sell the properties.
- Have leadership and management skills.
- Be excellent in analytical skills and number crunching to achieve the target.
- Require a friendly, personal touch to make potential clients feel relaxed and comfortable at the resort.
- Be able to work under pressure and to work overtime when required.
