Your day to day
Financial Returns
- Proactively sell the hotel’s event venues and hunt for corporate meeting and events via active solicitation through sales calls, site inspections and client networking events
- Achieving and exceeding financial targets under the guidance of the Director of Sales
- Monitor competitor activities and assists in marketing intelligence
People
- Develop key relationships with key event and meeting planners
- Promote team work and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other departments.
- Interfaces with operations on a timely basis.
Guest Experience
- Handing incoming catering inquiry from corporate and 3rd party M&E organizers
- Drive incoming catering leads conversion rate by actively communication with clients, conduct site inspection.
- Develop new corporate and 3rd party M&E accounts to obtain group/catering opportunities.
- In charge of mice group files proactive sales handover and continuously follow up with client.
- Conference service during group or event in house period to liaise with corporate or 3rd party M&E organizers.
- Resolve requests and/or complaints to the satisfaction of the guest; inform supervisor of major problems, complaints, disturbances or dissatisfied clients.
What we need from you
- Diploma/Degree in Business or Hospitality management or related disciplines
- Minimum 1 years hotel sales experience, preferably 5-star hospitality
- Strong presentation, commercial and communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills to develop and foster beneficial relationships
- High level of passion, enthusiasm and drive for results
- High level of common sense and high skill of problem solving and decision making
- In-depth knowledge of sales principles and techniques
- Strategic and tactical thinker - ability to develop strategic sales plans, establish goals and objectives, set performance targets and deliver projects on time
- Keeps abreast of changes and assesses trends in market conditions and consumer buying behaviour to create strategies that drive business opportunities
