Your day to dayAs Purchasing Supervisor, you’ll manage the purchasing, storing, and distribution of operating equipment, and supplies function, and food and beverage inventories in support of Hotel Operations.
|DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

|
- To research price, service and quality of operation requirements and recommend the best option to maximize pricing and quality in keeping with the Hotel’s standards |
- To document all orders on the Hotel Purchase Orders and liaise with department managers and suppliers regarding deliveries |
- To report on actual and potential cost of food and beverage and inventory turn over on a per period basis, providing menu engineering analysis |
- To supervise and administer the Micros point of sale system integrity with respect to reporting outlet revenues, cost analysis, financial reporting, systems security and day to day maintenance |
- To review for accuracy standard yields, recipes and menu costs |
- To communicate expectations to the Operations Support Coordinator and Receiver through: |
- The Recruitment and Selection Process |
- Departmental Orientation |
- Job Description and Task Lists by classification |
- The Designated Trainer Program |
- Performance Appraisal Process |
- To respond in a courteous and prompt manner to all guest questions, complaints and/or requests to ensure a high level of guest satisfaction. |
- To conduct audits to ensure food and beverage outlet revenues are being reported accurately in conformance with Company internal control policies and procedures |
- To establish and maintain the Hotel’s integrity through a professional and good working relationship with suppliers |
- To maintain an awareness of the latest market industry trends with relevance to the food operation as it relates to the kitchen operation and make recommendations to the Chef to improve costs while maintaining quality |
- To direct and compile quarterly operating equipment inventories in accordance to Company requirements |
- To conduct monthly operating supplies inventory, and purchase replacement of consumption |

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
|Essential:

|
- Two years hotel departmental supervisory experience |

|
- Candidate must have proficiency in English, have excellent communication skills, the ability to work well with others and have proven successful rapport with guest |
This job requires ability to perform the following:

- Use Windows based programs, i.e. Word and Excel |

- Mathematical skills, including basic math, budgeting, profit/loss concepts, percentages, and variances are utilized frequently. |
