Job description
FINANCIAL RETURNS:
• Inform superior of the status of repairs and pending costs and indicate when it would be reasonable to consider replacement
• Record daily service work, including maintaining individual maintenance costs along with time/task labour hours cost
PEOPLE:
• Perform all routine preventative maintenance and curative maintenance
• Maintain a level of broader knowledge which enables you to handle minor problems in all fields of the department
• Attend to all types of repairs and maintenance work in the Hotel premises, including any new additions / extensions to the Hotel or any other properties maintained by the Hotel
• Assist with the implementation of the hotel’s preventative maintenance system and repair log system
- Conduct and/or participate in Department meeting regarding proper operating and maintenance practices of equipment
GUEST EXPERIENCE:
• Repair and maintain guest room facilities, light facilities, furniture and equipment
• Prioritize work in line with guest requests and management
• Maintaining proper stock of necessary repair parts, supplies, and cleaning materials for room maintenance tasks.
• Lead the Preventive Maintenance Programme for guest rooms and public area, assuring that room defects are rectified at a high quality
- Keeping detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs performed, and any outstanding issues within guest rooms.
RESPONSIBLE BUSINESS:
• Conduct scheduled inspections and maintenance tasks according to guidelines and PMM schedules.
• Attend to all types of repairs and maintenance work in the Hotel premises, including any new additions/ extensions to the Hotel or any other properties maintained by the Hotel
• Perform any other ad-hoc duties as assigned by Chief Engineer or Asst. Engineer.
• Demonstrate Awareness of OH&S policies and procedures and ensure all procedures are conducted safely and within OH&S guidelines
• Be aware of duty of care and adhere to occupational, health and safety legislation, policies and procedures
• Be familiar with property safety, first aid and fire and emergency procedures and operate equipment safely and sensibly
• Initiate action to correct a hazardous situation and notify supervisors of potential dangers
• Log security incidents and accidents in accordance with hotel requirements
