YOUR DAY TO DAY
Assist guests by parking their cars in designated areas, assisting with luggage, and providing information about the hotel facilities and services to maximize guest satisfaction.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Greet arriving guests, assist incoming and outgoing guests – parking their cars in designated areas and return vehicle at guests’ request in a safe and timely manner.
- Conduct inspection of vehicle and record information on valet ticket and in Log book.
- Explain and promote hotel facilities, outlets, and services to guests to increase guest satisfaction and maximize hotel revenues. Provide guest with local directions in a courteous and accurate manner.
- Provide luggage assistance to guests and/or bell staff as needed.
- Respond quickly to guest requests or complaints in a professional manner and ensure appropriate action is taken. Follow up to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Provide non-valet parking instructions/guidance/assistance to guests upon arrival.
- May accept payments for parking fees from departing guests. Follow established cash/credit handling policies and procedures.
- Promote team work and quality service through daily communications and coordination with other departments.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU
High School diploma or equivalent plus one year of driving experience. Must speak fluent English. Alcohol awareness certification. Must have a valid driver’s license and a clear driver’s abstract.
This job requires ability to perform the following:
- Frequently standing up and moving about the guest entrance, lobby areas, garage and or other parking/valet areas
- Running to retrieve cars from valet area
- Knowledge of locale
OTHER
- Communication skills are utilized a significant amount of time when interacting with clients and guests.
- Ability to drive cars with either manual and automatic transmissions
- Reading and writing abilities are utilized often.
- Basic math skills are used frequently.
- May be required to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays.
