At Crowne Plaza Canberra, we believe great hotels are powered by great people. We are looking for an experienced and passionate Operations Manager to join our leadership team and help deliver exceptional guest experiences while inspiring our teams to perform at their best.

Reporting directly to the General Manager, this is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing Front Office, Food & Beverage and Housekeeping operations. You will play a pivotal role in driving service excellence, developing talent, achieving commercial results and ensuring every guest enjoys a memorable stay.

 

A little taste of your day -to- day  

  • Creating a culture of exceptional guest service and operational excellence
  • Driving guest satisfaction, reputation scores and quality metrics across the hotel
  • Leading, coaching and developing departmental leaders and their teams
  • Building strong succession plans and nurturing future hospitality talent
  • Managing labour, productivity and operational costs while maximising profitability
  • Working closely with the General Manager to execute strategic initiatives and achieve business goals
  • Maintaining strong partnerships with our housekeeping contractor and other key stakeholders
  • Ensuring compliance with brand standards, safety requirements and operational procedures

 

What we’re looking for

  • Department leadership experience in Hotels across both Food & Beverage and Rooms Division
  • Strong commercial acumen with a sound understanding of hotel performance metrics, budgeting and revenue principles
  • A passion for people leadership, coaching and team development
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills help drive projects to outcome
  • The ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on operational leadership
  • Flexibility to work around business needs supporting the teams and operations
