InterContinental Wellington is looking for a reliable & dedicated Kitchen Steward to join our Kitchen team!

Adjacent to Wellington’s waterfront, InterContinental Wellington is the most centrally located and experienced global five-star hotel in New Zealand’s capital city. InterContinental Wellington is host to culinary excellence and an array of food and beverage outlets to suit every occasion.


Your day to day

As a Kitchen Steward, your role is the foundational for our Kitchen and Restaurant operations, with no two days being the same. You’ll help keep our cleanliness, quality and standards to the highest level by giving overall support throughout kitchen operations and other departments to ensure our customers and guests experience a five-star service and the InterContinental brand is brought to life


What we need from you

  • Look smart – wear your uniform with pride
  • Willingness to help and support colleagues and departments
  • Ability to work as part of a team and unsupervised to complete tasks on time to a high standard
  • To be able to take direction and show initiative
  • Prior experience in a similar role is preferred
  • Be physically fit and Able to safety lift and carry objects over 10kg
  • Ability to read and write English
