Your day to day

Supervision of Laundry Operations:

-        Oversee the entire laundry process, including sorting, washing, drying, ironing, folding, and distribution of hotel linens and staff uniforms.

-        Ensure that laundry equipment is maintained and operated safely and efficiently, scheduling repairs and maintenance as needed.

-        Monitor the quality of laundry services, ensuring all items are clean, well-presented, and meet hotel standards.

 

Uniform Management:

-        Manage the issuance, tracking, and inventory of staff uniforms, ensuring that all employees have clean, well-fitting uniforms.

-        Inspect uniforms regularly for damage or wear and arrange repairs or replacements as necessary.

-        Ensure the storage and organization of uniforms are efficient and accessible for staff.

 

Team Management:

-        Supervise and schedule laundry and uniform attendants, ensuring adequate coverage for daily operations.

-        Train new team members on proper laundry techniques, equipment use, and hotel policies.

-        Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback and coaching to improve team productivity and service quality.

 

Inventory and Cost Control:

-        Maintain accurate records of linen and uniform inventory, monitoring usage, and implementing cost-control measures to reduce waste and minimize expenses.

-        Order laundry chemicals, cleaning supplies, and uniform stock as needed, maintaining sufficient inventory levels.

 

Health, Safety, and Hygiene Compliance:

-        Ensure all laundry staff comply with safety protocols, including the use of protective gear and proper handling of chemicals.

-        Adhere to hotel health and hygiene standards, ensuring the cleanliness of the laundry area and storage rooms.

-        Conduct regular safety checks and risk assessments in the laundry operation.

 

Collaboration and Coordination:

-        Coordinate with the housekeeping team to ensure timely delivery of linens to guest rooms and public areas.

-        Work with other departments, such as front office and food & beverage, to meet specific linen or uniform requests.

-        Assist in planning for special events and high-occupancy periods to meet increased laundry demands.


What we need from you

-     Familiarity with laundry machinery, uniform management systems, and inventory control.

-     Knowledge of safety protocols related to laundry operations and chemical handling.

-     Familiarity with inventory management systems and procedures related to uniform and linen tracking.

-     Has supervisory experience in laundry operations, preferably within the hospitality industry.

-     Strong leadership skills to supervise and motivate a team of laundry attendants.
