Your day to day
The HR Officer will support the HR department with various administrative and operational tasks. This position involves assisting with recruitment, employee relations, employee services, training and development, performance management, and ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
- Assist in the recruitment process, including posting job vacancies, screening resumes, conducting initial interviews, and coordinating interview schedules.
- Prepare offer letters, employment contracts, and onboarding materials for new hires.
- Ensure smooth onboarding for new employees, including conducting orientation sessions, explaining company policies, and assisting with necessary paperwork.
- Act as the first point of contact for employees regarding HR-related queries and concerns.
- Provide support in resolving employee conflicts, grievances, and disciplinary issues in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Support the development and implementation of employee engagement initiatives and maintain open communication channels between employees and management.
- Identify training needs through performance appraisals, surveys, and employee feedback.
- Coordinate and organize training sessions, workshops, and seminars to support employee development.
- Track training progress and report on the effectiveness of training programs.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, including personal information, attendance, leave balances, and performance reviews.
- Prepare and process HR-related documentation, such as promotions, transfers, terminations, and other employee changes.
- Ensure compliance with HR policies, labor laws, and company procedures.
- Assist with payroll processing, ensuring accurate timesheets, attendance records, and compensation-related information.
- Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other perks.
- Assist with salary reviews and benchmarking to ensure competitive compensation practices.
- Ensure compliance with local labor laws, employment regulations, and health & safety standards.
- Maintain accurate HR-related records for audits and reporting purposes.
- Assist with preparing HR reports for management, such as headcount reports, turnover rates, and training metrics.
- Assist in maintaining a safe and healthy work environment in line with legal requirements.
- Support wellness programs and initiatives to promote employee well-being.
What we need from you
- A Bachelor's degree with relevant HR certifications.
- At least 2-3 years of experience in an HR support role, with exposure to recruitment, employee relations, and HR administration.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Familiarity with labor laws, HR best practices, and employee relations issues.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), HRIS systems, and other HR-related software tools.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
