You will safeguard these pillars and its strategic planning and development and ensure all directives, practices and initiatives are implemented, embraced, adopted within the hotel/resort.

Duties and Responsibilities  

As Finance Manager, You will assume full responsibility for the efficient operation of the Finance department within Six Senses financial operating standards. In conjunction with the Director of Finance and other executives, you will be a key participant in setting the strategic direction of the resort.  

The duties and responsibilities will include: 

  •  Daily check and sign off on the income audit report and reconciliation with respect to revenue transfer, guest ledger balance, deposit ledger balance, city ledger balance and package ledger balance. Report discrepancies to DOF.
  • Daily verification of general cashier safe balance, count, clearing and reconciliation
  •  Regular time bound FOREX dispatch to the full-fledged money changer.
  •  Daily verification and sign off on the void, allowance, rebates and rate variances. Report any discrepancy to DOF.
  •  Timely payment and filing of all statutory dues and return.
  •  Organise and distribute monthly A&L review ledgers to all sections and ensure timely and accurate completion.
  •  Organise and review periodic bank reconciliation.
  •  Organise, allocate and complete month end activities in time and present for review to DOF
  •  Actively participate in various audits and arrange to present the necessary record for smooth audit conduct.
  •  Conduct and participate in various trainings for the development of self and team.
  •  Educate operations on company SOP, Controls and  Statutory compliance on regular basis. 
  •  Liaise with vendors, banks and consultants for the smooth functioning of the department and efficient vendor and contract management.
  •   Handling charge of the finance controller & assistant finance controller in their absence.

Qualifications

To execute the position of Finance Manager, You must have the required qualifications, technical skills and experience in a similar role in luxury hotels with proven results and includes the following: 

  • Commerce Graduate from a recognised university or Chartered Accountant / MBA in Finance.
  • 5 to 8 Years experience in a hotel accounting role
  •  Good verbal and written communication
  •  Good knowledge of GST, TDS , Income Tax , VAT & FEMA. 
  •  Good knowledge of the accounting principals and practices. 
  • Expert knowledge of financial book keeping.
  •  Good knowledge of arranging data in various statutory reports and MIS.
  • Microsoft Office - good knowledge of the working on spread sheets.
  • PMS , POS , Inventory and Financial Accounting software exposure.
