Job Title: Lifeguard


As a Lifeguard at Crowne Plaza, you play a vital role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our guests within the Health Club facility. Under the guidance of the Health Club Manager, you are responsible for monitoring pool activities, preventing accidents, and responding swiftly in emergencies. Your commitment to creating a safe and enjoyable environment aligns with our mission to empower guests to be their best selves. Your dedication to customer service, safety, and cleanliness will contribute to a positive guest experience.

**Duties and Responsibilities:**

**1. Safety and Surveillance:**
  - Monitor pool activities to prevent accidents.
  - Perform water rescues and administer first aid when necessary.
  - Enforce pool rules and regulations to maintain a safe environment.
  - Follow emergency action plans and procedures during crises.

**2. Facility Maintenance:**
  - Inspect and maintain pool cleanliness.
  - Report maintenance issues to the Supervisor/Manager.
  - Ensure the availability and safekeeping of emergency equipment.
  - Monitor and maintain water quality (chlorine content and pH).
  
**3. Guest Services:**
  - Provide information on pool operating hours.
  - Familiarize yourself with hotel facilities to assist guests.
  - Ensure guest amenities, towels, and other needs are readily available.
  - Follow hotel procedures for pool towel issuance and retrieval.
  - Conduct activities for guests and members while prioritizing safety.

**4. Administrative Tasks:**
  - Apply appropriate charges for pool, spa, and gym usage.
  - Attend scheduled training sessions.
  - Participate in employee activities.
  - Maintain a clean and tidy uniform according to grooming standards.
  - Supervise swimming and children's activities in the pool area.
  
**5. Self-Management:**
  - Comply with hotel rules, regulations, and grooming standards.
  - Adhere to time and attendance policies.
  - Actively participate in training and self-development opportunities.
  
**6. Customer Service:**
  - Demonstrate excellent service attributes, including attentiveness to guests, fulfilling requests promptly, and anticipating needs.
  - Handle guest complaints with professionalism and a service-oriented attitude.
  
**7. Health, Safety, and Security:**
  - Understand and follow health, hygiene, and fire life safety policies.
  - Familiarize yourself with emergency and evacuation procedures.
  - Report security incidents, accidents, and near misses promptly.

**8. General:**
  - Uphold the company's Corporate Code of Conduct and values.
  - Perform tasks as directed by the Manager to achieve business goals.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

  • Previous hotel experience is an advantage
  • Certified to be a Lifeguard
  • Require a Team player
  • To be able to understand & communicate in English
  • To be responsible with the tasks assigned/dedicated to complete the tasks assigned within the given time (time management).
