YOUR DAY-DO-DAY
- To serve Food & Beverage to guests in an established performance and productivity standards in any of the Food and Beverage outlets.
- Provide a courteous, professional, efficient and flexible service consistent with Crowne Plaza standards policies & procedures in order to provide a memorable experience for every guest.
- To be able to carry out any other reasonable duties and responsibilities which do not distinctly differ in nature from the original assigned work.
- To be able to handle pressure, meet business demand and guest service needs.
- To report for duty punctually, looking smart – wearing your uniform with pride.
- To maintain a high standard of personal appearance and hygiene and stick to the hotel department grooming standards.
- To be fully conversant with all services and facilities offered by the hotel.
- To perform opening and closing procedures established for the Place of Work as assigned.
- To handle guest enquiries in a courteous and efficient manner and report guest complaints or problems to supervisors if no immediate solution can be found and assure follow up with guests.
- To have a thorough understanding and knowledge of all food and beverage items in the menu and the ability to recommend Food & Beverage combinations and upsell alternatives.
- To ensure that the Place of Work and surrounding area is kept clean and organized at all times.
- Follow established hotel safety protocols and procedures at all times. Immediately report any safety/service incident to the supervisor or manager on duty
- To monitor operating supplies and reduce spoilage and wastage.
- To perform all duties and tasks in the assigned Place of Work to the standard set.
- To maintain a good working relationship with your colleagues, and all other departments.
- To attend and actively participate in trainings assigned to you either by your manager or by the Hr department.
- To undertake any reasonable tasks and secondary duties as assigned.
- To be entirely flexible and adapt to rotate within the different sub departments of the Food & Beverage Division as assigned.
WHAT WE NEED FOR YOU
- Responsible self-starter, capable of handling multi-faceted tasked and working under pressure.
- Team player, who values team work, has good team building skills and able to communicate effectively with all levels of employees.
- Positive with can do attitude and flexible approach.
- Basis reading, writing and math skills.
- Formal bartending training preferred.
- Knowledge of liquor brands, beer, wine, champagne, non-alcoholic beverages, designated glassware, preparation methods and garnishments.
- Ability to handle, carry or lift items weighing up to 23 kilograms.
- Fluent in English with a good French and/or Dutch.
