As a Demi Chef de Partie (Italian Cuisine), you will be responsible for preparing and presenting exceptional Italian dishes, maintaining the highest standards of quality, and supporting the Chef de Partie in daily kitchen operations. This role offers an exciting opportunity for professional growth and development within the prestigious InterContinental brand.
A little taste of your day-to-day:
Every day is different, but you’ll mostly do:
- Prepare and cook authentic Italian dishes, including pasta, sauces, pizzas, and traditional specialties, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Supervise and mentor junior kitchen staff, providing guidance and support.
- Assist the Chef de Partie in managing the section efficiently, ensuring all dishes are prepared to the highest standards.
- Oversee the daily mise en place, ensuring all ingredients and garnishes are ready before service.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, ensuring compliance with hygiene and safety standards.
- Contribute to inventory management, stock rotation, and report any stock shortages or wastage.
- Ensure that food preparation and presentation adhere to InterContinental’s culinary standards and specifications.
What we need from you:
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in Italian cuisine, preferably in a hotel or fine dining environment.
- Skills: Excellent knowledge of Italian cooking techniques, including pasta-making, sauces, and pizza preparation. Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Education: Culinary school graduate or equivalent qualification.
